LATEST SENATOR CASEY
Washington, DC - U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released a statement following this morning's health care vote:
"The Senate Republican health care plan was a terrible bill for the middle class and that’s why it was rejected on a bipartisan basis. It’s now time for Democrats and Republicans to work together on common sense solutions that will make our health care system more affordable and bring down costs for families. I commend Senators McCain, Collins and Murkowski for their courageous votes."

Roughly 200 people turned out to hear U.S. Sen. Bob Casey, Democrat of Scranton, reiterate his opposition to the Republican health care agenda and criticize President Drumpf for his response to Russian election meddling.
Few people disagreed with U.S. Sen. Bob Casey on Saturday morning.
And he could tell.
The roughly 200 constituents who attended a town hall the Scranton Democrat held in Blasco Library’s Hirt Auditorium had been given “agree/disagree” signs to indicate where they stood on his responses to questions.

Washington, DC - U.S. Senator Bob Casey released a statement following the recent terrorist attack in Jerusalem:
“This morning’s attack at one of the most religiously significant places in Jerusalem, killing two Israelis, is nothing short of horrific. This senseless terrorism against the people of Israel, as well as the sites that make the city sacred to so many, is destructive and makes peace harder. Palestinian President Abbas has condemned this attack, but Palestinian leaders must make clear that such attacks are unacceptable anywhere, anytime and end incitement of violence.”
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released a statement following the release of the “new” GOP health care bill:
“Instead of working in a bipartisan way, Senate Republicans have continued to meet in secret after the light of day showed their health care scheme to be a bad deal for our families and a bonanza for the super-rich. The latest version of this scheme does not change the fact that it still sells out the middle class, seniors, children and individuals with disabilities; Pennsylvania families will pay more for less health care coverage with fewer protections.

Washington, DC - U.S. Senator Bob Casey is sending the below letter to Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos reiterating the strong points he made at her confirmation hearingand condemning her meeting tomorrow with groups such as the National Campaign for Men. Fuller details below, let me know if you have any questions.
Dear Secretary DeVos:
I write today to express my serious concern at your continued refusal to commit to upholding the protections currently in place to prevent sexual assault and support victims. I want to reiterate a point I made to you at your confirmation hearing: any rollback of protections for victims of campus sexual assault is completely unacceptable, and your refusal to express support for federal protections for victims of sexual assault does a disservice to the women and men who have bravely spoken out about their own experiences in order to end this injustice.
