Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly today announced his opposition to the nomination of Alexander Acosta to be the next Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor.
Donnelly said, “Now more than ever, Hoosier workers need a Labor Secretary committed to strengthening the middle class by standing up for American workers, fighting for fair wages and benefits, and making necessary investments in job training programs. Based on Mr. Acosta’s record, testimony, and our meeting in my office, I am not convinced he will be the advocate that the hard-working people of this country need and deserve.”
