LATEST SENATOR DONNELLY
Washington, D.C. – A bipartisan resolution honoring the cutting-edge work of Department of Defense (DoD) laboratories passed the United States Senate today. The resolution, sponsored by U.S. Senators Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.) and Rob Portman (R-Ohio), also supports the designation of May 18, 2017, as “Department of Defense Laboratory Day”. The resolution commits to finding ways to increase funding for the national network of DoD labs, which are crucial to maintaining United States Armed Forces superiority.
Donnelly, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said, “Department of Defense labs, including Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane in southern Indiana, foster American innovation and give our servicemembers the tools they need to fight and win on the battlefield and come home safely. This bipartisan resolution honors the critical work these labs do every day at sites across the country.”
