LATEST SENATOR McCASKILL
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill today released the following statement after U.S. House Republicans voted to dismantle rules of the road for big Wall Street banks, which were passed into law after the actions of Wall Street that led to the 2008 national financial crisis:
“Missouri families know what happens when Wall Street banks are allowed to run wild—folks on Main Street pay the price. On behalf of Missourians who lost homes and jobs after the reckless actions of Wall Street nearly took down our economy in 2008, I think removing all of the guardrails put in place after the financial crisis is a huge mistake.”
